This restaurant is off the chizzo. Great food and service was sexy and the owner is a really good dude.....100% going back. If you have a colonoscopy scheduled, you probs want to wait until after you wake up.

The food is always great but the customer service is not up to par. It's an odd encounter to walk in and not be greeted at all. We had to say good morning to be noticed and have a nice day on the way out yielded no response from the waitress that gave us the receipt. In fact, while closing the transaction the waitress was trying to take another customers drink order across the restaurant instead of responding to my farewell. Cafe 1001 needs to work on the customer service, but I would give them another chance because the food is pretty good. However, something needs to be done about the service, because the vibe was unwelcoming and very unpleasant.

Absolutely delicious. The service was refreshing, it was our servers' first day and she was great. Food was speedy, not to mention the French Toast was amazing. The grits were made with precision as well, not something you find at every restaurant. All the staff was attentive. Definitely a gem.

This place is an old standby. Haven't been in two years and the head server remembered me. Forget her name. Nice lady. Been there for a hundred years. She will always make it right. Food is good.

I will say that it's good diner food. They have an excellent selection for breakfast. Some that I've tried: Biscuits n Gravy, a variety of egg/breakfast specials. They open at 7:30a.m. which lets me eat and enjoy the morning...instead of crashing into it! They have a variety of hot sauces and b.b.q. / seasoning sauces for purchase too. Creative Catering won an award for BBQ Cook off. I'm giving them 3 stars because it means 'middle of the road'. You get good easy order food for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles (I believe), juices, coffee, fountain soda. A very good selection and done well for what it is.
